The Shooting Star Day Camp

The Shooting Star offers a great ambiance for lunches, picnics and waterfowl viewing, in a peaceful, treed area that is nestled between the base of the mountain and the shore of Mirror Lake. The Shooting Star Day Camp area was developed by a Girl Scout Troop from Coeur d’ Alene and is maintained in large by the Shooting Star Girl Scout Troop #3012 from Coeur d’ Alene - thus the reason for the name.

Amenities include:

Log benches and picnic tables

A steel fire ring

An outhouse

Horseshoe pit

Fishing

A small rustic wooden dock suitable for kayaks and rafts can use.

All the lily pads, aquatic bug life and waterfowl watching you could hope for!
